French Apple Pie Ingredients:
  • 1 9-inch Pie Crust
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • dash of Salt
  • 8 cups peeled, cored, and thinly sliced Apples - About 8 medium apples; Granny Smith
     
  • Topping:
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 cube or 1/2 cup Firm Margarine

French Apple Pie Instructions:
  • Mix apples with pie ingredients; turn into an unbaked pie shell. (pre-made shell used.)
  • Mix the topping ingredients until crumbly. Sprinkle over pie.
  • Bake at 425 degrees for about 50 minutes; cover the topping during the last 10 minutes with foil.
French Apple Pie Cooking Time:
  • Cooking time 1 hour.
  • Leave to cool before serving.
French Apple Pie Serving Instructions:
  • Serve with Cream, Ice Cream, Whipped Cream or Custard.
  • Can be served Hot or Cold
