- Double Crust Pastry
- 1 cup Fresh Cranberries - rinsed, picked all over
- 3/4 cup Sugar
- 2 tablespoons All-Purpose Flour
- 2 teaspoons finely grated Orange Zest
- 1/4 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon Salt
- 2 tablespoons Unsalted Butter - cut into small pieces

| Best Apple Cranberry Pie Instructions:- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Roll out half of the Double Crust Pastry on a lightly floured surface, 11 inch round and 1/8 inch thick. Place in 9-inch pie pan and being careful not to stretch it, fit it to the bottom and sides. Trim the dough flush with the rim using a knife. Place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- Peel, quarter and core the apples. Cut them length ways 1/4 inch thick.
- Toss the apples, cranberries, sugar, flour, orange zest, cinnamon and salt in a medium bowl then mix well. Pour this mixture into the pie shell and dot with butter.
- Use cold water to lightly moisten the edge of the pie shell.
- Roll out the second half of the Double-Crust Pastry into a 12-inch round and drape it over the pie. Cut any overhanging dough to 1/2 inch then tuck the excess dough under the rim of the bottom pie shell pressing to seal. Cut 4 steam vents in the top.
- Place the pie in the oven and bake for 20 minutes. Place foil over the rim to prevent over browning and bake for approximately 30 minutes or until the apples have softened when inserting a cake tester into the middle of the pie.
- Place on a rack and allow to cool.
