Apple Cake Dessert Recipe |
Apple Cake Ingredients:- 450g Cooking Apples - peeled, cored, chopped
- 225g Plain Flour
- 175g Dark Soft Brown Sugar
- 110g Butter
- 2 Eggs - beaten
- 4 tablespoons Milk
- 1 tablespoons Clear Honey - warmed slightly
- 1 tablespoons Light Demerara Sugar
- 1 tablespoons Ground Mixed Spice
- 1 tablespoons Ground Cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons Baking Powder

Apple Cake Instructions:- Preheat oven to 170°C.
- Grease a deep 7 inch round cake tin then line it with buttered greaseproof paper.
- Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy then gradually add the eggs a little at a time, beating them constantly.
- Sieve the flour, spice and baking powder then add to the mixture. Mix together well.
- Fold in the apples and just enough milk to make a soft dropping consistency then pour into the prepared cake tin.
- Place in the oven and bake for 90 minutes until the cake has risen well and is firm to the touch.
- Turn out onto a wire rack and allow to cool.
- When the cake has cooled, brush it with honey and sprinkle with Demerara sugar.
