Apple Tarts Dessert Recipe

Apple Tarts Ingredients:
  • 560g All-Purpose Flour
  • 250g White Sugar
  • 2g Salt
  • 240g Unsalted Butter
  • 4 Eggs - beaten
  • 10ml Vanilla Extract
  • 4 Granny Smith Apples - peeled, cored, chopped
  • 55g Brown Sugar
  • 0.6g Ground Cinnamon
  • 60g chopped Walnuts
  • 80g Apricot Jam

Apple Tarts Instructions:
  • Combine flour, 1¼ cups sugar and salt in a large bowl then cut in butter until the mixture is crumbly. Add in the eggs and vanilla extract and mix until the dough forms a ball.
  • Cover with cling film then place in the refrigerator for 1 hour at least but no longer than 24 hours.
  • Allow dough to stand at room temperature for 30 minutes before rolling it out.
     
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Take 16 3-inch tart pans and lightly grease them.
  • Briefly knead dough on a lightly floured surface then cut into 16 portions of equal size. Take each portion and roll into a 6 inch circle then place circles into each tart pan.
  • Toss apples with sugar and cinnamon in a medium bowl then add in walnuts.
  • Divide the apple mixture and place into each tart pan then fold pastry over the filling sealing the edges and cut steam vents in top.
  • Place in the oven and bake for 30 minutes until they appear golden brown.

  • Allow to cool a little before serving.

  • Serve with Cream, Ice Cream, or Custard.
