Apple Tarts Dessert Recipe |
Apple Tarts Ingredients:- 560g All-Purpose Flour
- 250g White Sugar
- 2g Salt
- 240g Unsalted Butter
- 4 Eggs - beaten
- 10ml Vanilla Extract
- 4 Granny Smith Apples - peeled, cored, chopped
- 55g Brown Sugar
- 0.6g Ground Cinnamon
- 60g chopped Walnuts
- 80g Apricot Jam

Apple Tarts Instructions:- Combine flour, 1¼ cups sugar and salt in a large bowl then cut in butter until the mixture is crumbly. Add in the eggs and vanilla extract and mix until the dough forms a ball.
- Cover with cling film then place in the refrigerator for 1 hour at least but no longer than 24 hours.
- Allow dough to stand at room temperature for 30 minutes before rolling it out.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Take 16 3-inch tart pans and lightly grease them.
- Briefly knead dough on a lightly floured surface then cut into 16 portions of equal size. Take each portion and roll into a 6 inch circle then place circles into each tart pan.
- Toss apples with sugar and cinnamon in a medium bowl then add in walnuts.
- Divide the apple mixture and place into each tart pan then fold pastry over the filling sealing the edges and cut steam vents in top.
- Place in the oven and bake for 30 minutes until they appear golden brown.

- Allow to cool a little before serving.
