Carmel Apple French Toast Dessert Recipe

Carmel Apple French Toast Ingredients:
  • 4 Apples - thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 2 tablespoons Light Corn Syrup
  • 1 cup chopped Pecans
  • 12 slices French Bread
  • 7 Eggs
  • 1¾ cups Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • Cinnamon
  • Nutmeg

Carmel Apple French Toast Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Mix together brown sugar, butter, corn syrup and cook over medium heat stirring constantly until thickened.
  • Use pam to spray a 9 x 13 glass baking dish then pour the mixture into it. Sprinkle over with 1 cup of chopped pecans.
  • Create one layer sliced French bread on syrup and pecans using 6 slices. Arrange sliced apples over the top of each slice of bread.
  • Mix together eggs, milk and vanilla in a blender then pour half and mixture over first layer.
  • Place second layer of sliced French Bread on top of apples then cover with the remaining egg and milk mixture.
  • Cover with plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator overnight.
  • Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.
  • Place in the oven and bake uncovered for 60 to 70 minutes.
  • Serve one double-layer portion per person.

  • Allow to cool a little before serving.
