Apple Bar Recipe Ingredients:- 1/2 cup Whole Wheat Flour
- 1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour
- 1/3 cup Toasted Sliced Pecans
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 2 Granny Smith Apples - peeled, sliced
- 1/4 cup Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- 1/4 cup Olive Oil
- 1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1 Large Egg
- 1/4 cup Cold Strong Coffee

Apple Bar Recipe Instructions:- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- To toast the pecans, place them on a baking sheet and bake for 3-5 min then put to one side.
- Spread sliced apples on an 8 inch baking pan then sprinkle with sugar.
- Stir in the pecans, cinnamon, flours, baking powder and baking soda with a fork until the apples are coated.
- Stir in the coffee, egg, vanilla and oil with a rubber spatula scraping sides and bottom of pan.
- Use spatula to smooth top then sprinkle over with pecans.
- Place in the oven and bake for 45 to 50 min or test with a wooden toothpick which should come out clean when inserted in the middle.
- Place on rack and allow to cool before cutting into 16 squares.
- Serve warm or cold.
