  • 1/2 cup Shortening
  • 1 1/3 cups Brown Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 2 cups Flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1 cup chopped Nuts
  • 1 cup chopped Apple
  • 1 cup Raisins
     
  • GLAZE:
  • 1 1/2 cups Powdered Sugar
  • 3 tablespoons Orange Juice or Apple Juice
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla

Best Apple Cookies Recipe Instructions:
  • Cream shortening and brown sugar, add remaining ingredients in order shown, mix well.
  • Drop by rounded teaspoonful on un-greased cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 375 degrees for 12 minutes.
  • To make the glaze just combine the ingredients for the glaze together.
  • Glaze while slightly warm.
